I support individuals who desire to heal from trauma, experience relief from difficult feelings, navigate life transitions, and improve relationships. I specialize in working with couples who are seeking closeness and connection by helping them recognize and change patterns that make them feel stuck. I work to create a safe, compassionate environment in which healing can happen in moments and over time. I enjoy working with people of all races and gender expressions. Together, we can explore current challenges, practice mindful awareness of feelings, cultivate self-compassion, and uncover defenses.
My approach is client-centered and grounded in research on attachment, nervous system regulation, and mindfulness. I am trauma trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am working toward certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I also use the following practices: Mindfulness, Multiculturalism, Mind-Body, Person-Centered, ACT, CBT, Solution-Focused.
On a personal note, I navigate life as a mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. My prior experience includes 20 years in a corporate setting in Silicon Valley. It has been a privilege to pivot my career and support clients to reduce their suffering and achieve their goals of personal empowerment. I have a multicultural background and I am an immigrant. All of these experiences and identities have inspired and informed who I am as a therapist.
